Gansbaai Wine Tours

Touched by the cool ocean breeze and warm African sun, surrounded by the tranquillity of farm life, grapes are turned into world class wine. History, family traditions and modern winemaking come together in this iconic part of South Africa where two oceans meet.
Breathe in fresh air laced with the smell of fynbos, plants endemic to the Cape Floral Region that includes Proteas. Enjoy the natural beauty and maritime history influences of the Cape Whale Coast in the Overberg (Overstrand) and Cape Agulhas regions while being responsible by not drinking and driving.
The region is famous for its cool climate wines. The Stanford Wine Route produces a range of wines, beers and spirits on farms surrounding the heritage town of Stanford. Cape Agulhas Wine Route includes the Southernmost wine farm in Africa and farms producing award-winning Sauvignon Blanc. The Hermanus Wine Route includes the Hemel-en-Aarde Road which allows visitors the opportunity to experience world renowned Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as other cultivars, while enjoying stunning views of the mountains and valleys.
These tours are customised based on the route you would like to visit and the number of wine farms to be visited. Your host is a Western Cape accredited Tour Guide and speaks Afrikaans, English and Dutch. All operating permits and the necessary insurance are in place for your safety.
